On January 3, 2019 the Tribal Council of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Indian Reservation considered and adopted, upon the recommendation of the Tribes Natural Resources Department, rules pertaining to surface water quality standards for the Flathead Indian Reservation. Such rules were proposed and submitted for public comment in July 9, 2018 and public comment closed August 23, 2018 in keeping with the Tribal Administrative Procedures Act. April 2, 2019 EPA completed its review of the revisions and is approving the CSKT Water Quality Standards, October 22, 2018 adopted by the Tribal Council on January 3, 2019, without condition.
